Forsite recently completed the design of a new church at Charlottenlund in Trondheim, Norway as part of the Green Cathedral Design Competition. The design brief requested a place of worship while also reflecting and promoting the sustainable values of the congregation. 

Our design creates a sanctuary where the spiritual presence can be felt in the everyday, the ordinary and especially in the natural environment. An altar backdrop with the Christian cross, found in the void of a split piece of wood, is simultaneously a symbol of the Holy Spirit in everyday life and a reminder of the responsibility that, as humans, we all share as caretakers and stewards of the planet.
